Stop baby scratching the face?

I got a 6 months old baby, he has eczema on his face since 2 months old. We tried everything, the cortisone cream help but the eczema came back after we stop using it. Now he is 6 months old, we try not to wrap him in sleep but his "free" hands continue to scratch his face during sleep. We put mittens on his hands and it wipes all the creams we put on his face. Now the ecezma is getting worse. Any one know how I can stop this ?

Stop baby scratching the face?
I so know what you're going through. My 5 month old son has one on his chin and on his left cheek. We tried mittens and it got worse. With the constant rubbing, the mittens made cloth burns. I came to realized my son rubs the heck out of his cheeks. My mom puts Johnson %26amp; Johnson's healing lotion on. It works sooooooo fast! Just so you know, it's completely normal for babies to get these. The only suggestion I can give you besides the lotion is patience. If you see your baby scratching his face, stop him as much as you can. Cut your baby's nails to a nub, so he won't break skin (which is one of the causes of ecezma). Your baby won't do this forever (I would know because my mom told me I did the same thing when I was a baby). Hopefully this will help you out . Good luck!
Reply:Try some Aloe vera, from the plant,or health food store,it will not harm nbay you can even eat this,so no worry Aloe Vera gel...Good luck
Reply:My cousin had terrible eczema as a child... I know they would put socks on her arms to keep her from scratching.
Reply:Talk to your doctor he would have some tips for this.
