If i washed my face with 2% salicydic acid face wash today would applying 10%benzoylcream to my acne burn me?

if i apply the acne cream to my zits over night would it burn me if i washed my face with acne face wash earlier today?

for mild to moderate acne, benzoyl peroxide is the second best acne treatment, next to BP combined with topical antibiotics (comes in prescription only). i've never had a dermatologist recommend salicylic acid washes. if you want to use both products, start out using SA wash once a day and BP wash once a day (morning and evening), then continue the washes and add a 5% topical for overnight and then later a 10% topical. if you live in california, Kaiser Permanente sells a BP wash, 5% topical, 10% topical at their pharmacies (all for reasonable prices). you don't have to be a Kaiser member to buy them. if you have problems with drying, use a light, non-comedic facial lotion, like Neutrogena Moisture, after washing and before applying the topical. cystic acne is a whole other category, but i assume that's not your problem.

Reply:No it wont burn you, but it will be quite harsh I reccomend if you put it on tonight not to wash your face tomorrow with that stuff bc then you will end up aggravting it more then helping it.
Reply:it may burn depending on how sensitive your skin is. i use 2.5% benzolperoxide lotion and sometimes it burns. Too high benzol peroxide isn't too good for your skin.
