I've yet to find a face cleaner that doesn't dry my skin out.. any suggestions?

I have really sensitive skin and I've tried about a million different face cleaners but they always dry my skin out...after washing my face I always put lotion on and that helps to an extent, but my face is still blotchy and dry. This hasn't always been an issue for me...I used to have a very smooth complexion....I also think maybe the cold weather could be effecting my skin... if you have really sensitive skin like I do, what type of face cleaner do you use??

Thanks :)

Reply:Cetaphil. You can get it anywhere. It won't dry your skin out . It is dermatoligist recommended. I use it and it is great!!! My skin is blotchy and red too and this is what the doctor told me to use.
Reply:I usually have really oily skin, but the dry weather has dried out my skin as well.

You should try using a moisturizer morning and night after you wash your face. (I use an oil-free Clean%26amp;Clear kind, and it works really well.)

Also, if you wear makeup, like foundation, you can mix your moisturizer with your foundation. (I also do this, because if I don't, it dries out my skin even more.)

I hope this works for you. Good luck!
Reply:I am really sensitive, and I don't have perfect skin so I want something that can keep me from breaking out and not dry me out or iritate me.

I use Purpose face wash. They make it in a bar, or liquid soap. You can find it at walgreens, target, jewel, any pharmacy or grocery store and it is absolutely amazing.. I guarantee that you will love it.

Purpose face wash is so gentle that you can put it in your eye and it doesn't even burn, but it takes off your makeup and keeps your face nice.
Reply:Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

Reply:Have you tried Clinique?? You go in and they test your skin and give u exactly what u need.
Reply:I use Aveeno, and *always* moisturize with Aveeno cream afterwards. It's really made a difference in how my skin looks and feels!
Reply:Try using one from the body shop, they have great ranges for dry skin or try buying a soap- free wash from fashion fair.. or a foam from boots- botanics!
Reply:If you have tried all those products and they didn't work for you, you might be interested in learning about a way to control acne that doesn't dry out your skin and actually works.
