My Ashy Face?

My face is extremely greasy. I need to use 2 blotting sheets to take away oil. However, the area around my mouth and between my eyes are very dry, and tight. Its not peeling, but when I smile, a white layer covers my chin. What do I do? I regularly exfoliate and I use a gentle face wash...

joslin...it sounds like you have combination skin but are using a regimen designed for oily skin...and by the way I think the excess oil is due to exfoliating daily...you are not suppossed to exfoliate every day and since you are I think your skin is trying to replace the oil/moisture you are stripping out of it by daily exfoliation...w/ oily skin you should be using an oil based cleanser that is gentle...and won't clog your pores...but an exfoliating cleanser everyday is way too much...

Reply:Sounds like you have combination skin! I'm the same way. Make sure you wash your face with something specific to combo skin and make sure that you lotion the dry areas (make sure that the lotion and wash are for combo skin!).





I use photofinish from smashbox before applying makeup to try to stop some of the oilyness. I also use powder after I apply my makeup and blot with paper throughout the day.

Reply:your skin is extremely dehydrated. u need to stop using ur cleanser as this will be the culprit. and u will need to exfoliate every few days. the skin renews itself about evry 28 days so u should see a difference in a month or so. i had this problem....
Reply:you could go see the doctor or you could even go on google too! try telling your doctor that you have that weird thing on you . You should try out some lotion too!!! :D
Reply:well. all you have to do would be to put on face masks more often, get facials, put on face lotion, and there is this really ausome makeup called bare minerals. i have it, its all natural and it works soooooo well. i promise, youll love it. and dont worry, everyone has problems, and everyone is beautiful the way they are!!!!!!!
