Help my face is falling apart!?

So i went to a dermatologist and they gave me some cream and a pill for acne. The pill worked but then in a week the cream started to get me very oily. So i used the oil-free Neutrogena wipes to get rid of the oil. So now my face is so dry its peeling ive been putting moistureizor on my face and continued with everything else as well.

Should i stop the oil-wipes?

And if so how do i get rid of the oil?

And does anyone have home acne treatments?

sorry for all the questions

thanks in advance!

Help my face is falling apart!?
Tea tree oil is fabulous at controlling and eliminating acne. Apply at night and in the morning. Make sure that it is "cold pressed" and 100 % pure. It can be a little pungent but you get used to the smell. It is a little strong so you may want to dilute it at first until your skin gets used to it. I have sensitive skin and am able to use it without diluting.

Also, to calm your face and bring pH back in your skin use a good toner with witch hazel. ( I use murad) You can also mix 50% water and 50% witch hazel also works well.
Reply:you should still use the oil wipes if they rid your skin of excess oil, which is what causes acne in the first place.

for zits that are near-popping, make a saltwater solution. then soak a cotton ball with the solution. hold this soaked cotton ball to the problem area for about 3 minutes. this will make the zit less red and apparently gone. however, the bacteria and oil are still in there. get a kleenex, place it over the zit, and carefully push the oil free from the pore. wipe area with soaked cotton ball again, and then apply an oil free moisturizer (%26amp;/or the doc's cream, which would probably kill the residual bacteria).
Reply:use acne free!!! it works better than proactive. you can get it at walmart for about 10 to 15 bucks.
Reply:First of all, if your face is peeling, it doesn't help if you apply moisturizer to your face. It doesn't get absorbed into the skin due to the layer of dead skin cells on the surface. You would have to exfoliate the dead skin cells before you apply the moisturizer. And be careful of the moisturizer that you use. Do not apply too much as it will cause your oily face to get even more oily, and thus causing acne. Try to control your diet as well. Avoid deep fried and oily food. If you do have "Clinique" in your country, get the "Clinique Anti-Blemish" solution. It's not too expensive and it works like magic for Acne and pimples as well!
Reply:LOL,,, sorry but that was funny,,, falling apart.

i use a grape seed mask,, and that keeps dem lil bast**** away
Reply:I'm 40 years old had a severe battle with acne. I tried Proactiv, everything the dermatologist recommened and everthing over the counter. What ever I used would either do nothing for the acne, cause more breakouts or create bad redness and flaking peeling skin. I learned that its better to stick with a single brand of products then a bunch of different brands because they are made to work together. Also drinking a lot of water will help the body moisturize from the inside and keep those internal organs toxin free. Oily skin needs moisture too. Its oily because its trying to moisturize itself. Basically your skin is unbalanced.

As recommended above I would definitely see your dermatologist to make sure you aren't having an allergic reaction to the cream.

I did finally find something, the only thing, that ever helped with my acne and had made me completely clear and my skin is no longer unbalanced. That was the Murad Acne Line by Dr Murad. I do recommend it to everyone who has had no luck with anything else.

Good luck to you in your battle.
Reply:Go back to the doctor - today! I've battled acne for almost 25 years, and many of the prescribed medications can be too rough on your skin, they can either adjust your medication or recommend using it less often.

Also, the wipes may also be causing a chemical reaction. Check the list of ingredients (be sure to take it to the Dr with you) Witch hazel or some baby wipes may be alot more gentle on your skin. The dermatologist should be able to make recommendations.

But go today and do not 'do your face' before you go - you want them to see what you are battling with 3 or 4 hours into the day, not how well you can hide what you are battling with.

Good Luck!
