Do you say something TO my face or ON my face??

check the grammar.. does someone say something ON your face ot TO your face... i think it is "TO" ur face,,, let me kno! thanx

Do you say something TO my face or ON my face??
To tell someone something to his face is to lay out the facts in a straightforward (possibly brash) fashion.

To tell someone something on his face... there isn't any such phrase. Although you could tell someone he'd something on his face =/ That'd work.

Hope that helps =P
Reply:it should be to your face ...as in the sentence: Fling those insults to my face and i won't speak to you again...the word on denotes something on top of such as the book is on the table...
Reply:You're right. Speaking directly to you is telling you something to your face.

Now, we also use the expression, "on the face of it," which means "at first glance," or "as it appears at first without further examination."

Extremely dry face skin--please help!?

I have very dry skin on my face, and seems to be worst in the winter. It almost looks as though my face has dandruff. I recently started using Clinique, and it helped, but then winter started and it's dry again.

Oh- and does anyone know if drinking Coke makes this worse? I might just be imagining that.

Can someone give me some advice? It's so embarrassing to go to work looking like a monster.

Extremely dry face skin--please help!?
You may have a skin condition called seborrehic dermatitis which is basically dandruff on your face. And winter does make it worse. I have the same condition. I went to my dermatologist and he gave me a creme that the drugist mixes half and half of Elidel and Nizoral. Elidel is similar to a hydrocortisone creme but isn't a steriod it helps with the flaking and itching and the Nizoral is an anti-fungal which is thought to be the cause of the chronic condition. It has done wonders for me. I've tried lotions thinking my skin was dry, which wasn't the case and really made the condition worse. If you can't get to a doctor you can use over the counter hydrocortisone creams such as Cortiaid and an anti-fungal such as Lamisil to see if that helps. The bad thing about cortisone creams are if you use them too much they can age your skin and you don't want that for your face. The mixture I get from the doctor is a little on the expensive side about $60 for about 60 grams (which is a lot) but it lasts a very long time a couple years because I only use it when the condition flares up. If you use a dandruff shampoo (Nizoral which is very good to use twice a week) you can rub some on your face when you shower and that should help as well. That's what I do, because the conditon causes flaking on the eyebrows, around the nose, chin, in and behind the ears. If these sound like your symptoms or they haven't progressed to that bad yet check with your doc and get some meds. It's very easy to manage once you get the right diagnosis and meds. Happy New Year.

Reply:try putting on some lotion
Reply:the best thing for you skin is to drink plenty of water as this re hydrates your skin and is good for you. stay away from the coke. if you have a lush shop near you or try the web they make there own products and it is all natural and they will be able to help you out. it will take sometime before you see an improvement.
Reply:I would try a moisturizing facial mask. Peeling it off will get rid of a lot of dead skin already there. To avoid more, maybe a dove facial lotion. Anything meat for the face and proven gentle.
Reply:You can use moisturizing cream.
Reply:Before going to bed at night you could try moisturizing your face with vaseline. Of course, wash your face in the morning. Your skin will be nice and smooth. Use a light moisturizer during the day.
Reply:I have extremely dry skin on my cheeks and it is worse in the winter. I use a skin cleanser called Cetaphil. It is great for sensitive skin and can be used with or without water. You also need a good cream or lotion to lock in the moisture. I find Lubriderm is a good lotion you can use on both your face and your body.

Here are some tips I find helpful: wash face no more than twice a day (morning and night) with lukewarm water. Gently massage cleanser over face with hands. Rinse well and pat dry. Rubbing makes skin irritated. Apply a good cream or lotion immediately after drying face.

You might also want to try a humidifier or vaporizer in your bedroom overnight to add moisture to the air. This will help alleviate dry skin.

Also, check out the website of the American Academy of Dermatology--aad.org. It has great resources for skin care.
Reply:dry skin happens for me mostly in the winter.

its important to drink lots of water! for one!

secondly give yourself a facial at home bout once a week.

steam up your face by boiling water on the stove, and putting your face over it and let your pours open up...

do a mixture of honey, oatmeal and a little bit of milk and make a paste. ........put that on your face and let stand for about 20 mins. i lay down for this and get cucumbers and put them over my eyes. VERY cool and VERY nice for a nice rejouv of the eyes.

wash off and moisturize with a night cream at night. PONDS works well......if its too greasy, do it just 2 or 3 times a week. Oil of Olay works well for daytime.

some apple cider vinager. works as a nice astringent in between facials. hope this works!

What is the mask face thing called?

You know like after you get a third-degree burn on your face. And they take skin off another part of your body and put it on your face and then put a cage thing on it to keep the presure on it so the skin can heal back. What is that called and what do they look like? I read it in a book called A face First by Pricilla Cumming's and I was curious what it was called. Thanx for the help!!!!!!!! 10 points to best awnser!

What is the mask face thing called?

I have an oily face?

My face if fine, until half way through the day, the only makeup i wear is eyeliner, and masscara. I wash my face at night, and in the morning. I usally only have 1 or 2 zits, i have a pretty zit free face, but it gets all shiny. what should i do??

I have an oily face?
You should wear a shine-free variant face powder and re-touch during the day. Carry around with you oil absorbent papers before touching up and you're good to go.
Reply:carry oil blotting sheets.
Reply:Freshen up during the day with cotton wool and a toner.
Reply:Try Biore moisturizer for oily skin. There is both a cleanser and a daily moisturizer.
Reply:Find a powder that won't clog up your pores-- most makeup counters will have them. Do not wash your face in the middle of the day! The more you wash your face, the more your face is going to compensate for the dryness created when you wash by adding more oils. You also might try finding a face wash that doesn't dry out your skin, like Clean %26amp; Clear.
Reply:Put on face makeup.
Reply:try a cleanser for oily skin, one that does not have oil in it. this will help your oily skin stay dry during the day.

Maybe also try a powder on your face. Just a light matte powder to soften the look of your skin.
Reply:dip ya face in boiling water...
Reply:Hmm.. you should try a moisturizer for oily skin if you don't use makeup...and definitly get those oil blotting sheets...u can use them throuout the day at anytime...they are small like tissues -they absorb oil on your face so it doesn't look oily....and it looks more matte. You can find them at any drugstore.

Johnson's baby wash for the face...?
it might be good for the oily parts but might dry out the normal parts so if u wanna use that make sure u moisturize afterwards
Reply:I have been using it on my face for 27yrs...when I had my first baby....It doesn't dry out your skin or leave it feeling oily.
Reply:Makes you "Baby-Faced" !

Is it possible to change your face shape?

Is it possible to change face shape non-surgically? I have an egg shaped head and am very self-conscious and feel very ugly. I want to change my face shape to square shape. Does anyone know any methods such as facial exercises which can help change face shape. I am hoping to have a square shaped face like chad michael murray or johnny depp so any help would be very very helpful thank you.

Is it possible to change your face shape?
Unfortunately, darling, the shape of your face is mainly based on bone and cartilage structure and can only be changed surgically. Braces can change the alignment and look of your jaw, but that is only if needed. If your teeth are straight, the braces won't change your face much. Jaw surgery is an (expensive) option, along with cheek implants, but those are the only things I know of. You may want to do some research, however. Cosmetic surgery is inventing all new ways of doing a lot of different things.
Reply:exercise, run a few miles, it will shape your face, in a very positive way.
Reply:UH NO
Reply:um NO!
Reply:i think face shape has to do when u were younger and head wasn't as strong as it is now
