Stop baby scratching the face?

I got a 6 months old baby, he has eczema on his face since 2 months old. We tried everything, the cortisone cream help but the eczema came back after we stop using it. Now he is 6 months old, we try not to wrap him in sleep but his "free" hands continue to scratch his face during sleep. We put mittens on his hands and it wipes all the creams we put on his face. Now the ecezma is getting worse. Any one know how I can stop this ?

Stop baby scratching the face?
I so know what you're going through. My 5 month old son has one on his chin and on his left cheek. We tried mittens and it got worse. With the constant rubbing, the mittens made cloth burns. I came to realized my son rubs the heck out of his cheeks. My mom puts Johnson %26amp; Johnson's healing lotion on. It works sooooooo fast! Just so you know, it's completely normal for babies to get these. The only suggestion I can give you besides the lotion is patience. If you see your baby scratching his face, stop him as much as you can. Cut your baby's nails to a nub, so he won't break skin (which is one of the causes of ecezma). Your baby won't do this forever (I would know because my mom told me I did the same thing when I was a baby). Hopefully this will help you out . Good luck!
Reply:Try some Aloe vera, from the plant,or health food store,it will not harm nbay you can even eat this,so no worry Aloe Vera gel...Good luck
Reply:My cousin had terrible eczema as a child... I know they would put socks on her arms to keep her from scratching.
Reply:Talk to your doctor he would have some tips for this.

Red, Itchy Face. Help?

I've had the cold for almost a week and then yesterday I got a fever and am not feeling very well. Today I noticed that my face is like a rosy red and it itches. It feels almost bumpy. This is causing my face, neck, and ears to itch almost constantly. Any idea what it is? Thanks!

(By the way, I'm not sure, but I don't think that it's an allergic reaction because I've never had any allergy symptoms.)

Red, Itchy Face. Help?
You are having an allergic reaction. Maybe not to food but to something you put on your face. Did you just start using a new cleanser, face mask, zit cream, etc? especially if there is salicytic acid, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, alpha hydroxy etc... STOP using whatever you have now and just use a gentle cleanser like cetaphil. Aveeno has a moisurizer, called 'ultra calming' and this should help your skin, could use 2x a day. If it doesn't go away in a few days, see your dermatologist.
Reply:take a benedryl then wash with dove soap. apply a light application of cortaid.
Reply:allergic reaction/ or poison ivy,oak etc very unlikely this time of year. hydrocordizone cream and maybe a dr prescription for some prednesione

Why my face gets so oily in less time?

my face looks dry when i wash it, but after one hour it becomes so oily, can any one tell me what do i have to use to keep my face dry all the time

Why my face gets so oily in less time?
oil free products, to moisterize

when you wash you r face use a product that is ph balanced.
Reply:Your face cleanser may be overdrying your face, causing it to crank out oil. Oil free moisturizer is a good way to go. I had the same problem, but at my yearly physical, bloodwork showed that my adrenal levels were waaayyyy too high. This was causing my skin to break out and be super oily. At your next physcial, you may want to ask about this.
Reply:Stop eating fried foods. Don't eat mayonnaise or peanut butter.

How do I get a baby face?

I want to get that baby face that most men only dream about. That face that attracts all of the nice ladies at school and stuff. The face that says to ladies- You are sexy. The one that gets them to say- Will you go out with me?

I wanted to know if there was a product or something I can buy or do to get this baby face without the expensive surgery?

My moms friend takes this thing called Monavey. It's a drink that comes in a wine bottle. It tastes like wine the only thing is that it is only juice. This is supposed to be good for your health and system. It has made my moms friend look better and more attractive. The only thing is that the bottles are like $200 for one and they only last for about a week. It is one bottle per person weekly. I dont want to have to buy them every week. My friend gave me a sample of his and it was good but I need something cheaper.

What can I use? thanks for the help.

How do I get a baby face?
Don't smoke, as it will give you wrinkles. Always moisturize your skin to keep it soft. Drink lots of water to keep it hydrated. And wear sunblock all year round. Get a cool haircut too, one that will help to frame your face. :-)
Reply:First off, how old are you? I've heard of guys who were ugly in Middle School and then bam, High School they become hotties. Usually they transform over the summer.

Perhaps all you need is make-over. And are you sure it's your looks only? Looks aren't everything, although I admit, it does help you get girls too. You need charm, you have to know how to talk to a girl and get their attention and stuff like that. You can be a really good looking guy and still have most girls turn away from you because you're stupid or boring.

Using listerine on your face?

I read a few websites where people have suggested using Listerine as a face wash for acne and blemishes. I had acne as a child and still have quite a few breakouts every now and then. No matter what I do, whether I never touch my face, wash 3 times a day, use topical medicines, whatever, any zit I get WILL leave a mark.

I had never thought about using Listerine on my face and was wondering if anyone has tried it, how to use it and if there are any side effects. Please let me know. Does this really work? Thanks!

Using listerine on your face?
use it with a cotton ball.

but then when you are done, let your face dry, don't touch it, and then when it's all dry it might be red [[depends on the sensitivity of your face]] you put a ''sensitive skin lotion'' on your face.
Reply:NOOOOOO!!! Don't!!!! Listerine is complete alcohol. You've read how your not supposed to use rubbing alcohol as an astringent right? Well, Listerine is practically just as bad! It'll leave your skin desert dry, tight, and super-red. You'll also break out even more because your skin will create even more oil to compensate for the dryness you're creating. I can't offer you a solution, but just don't use Listerine on your face.
Reply:Some of the chemicals in Listerine are not exactly what you want ot put on your face. There are a few options to try before giving your face a minty-fresh odor. 1) Cut dairy out of your diet, 2) keep your hands away from your face at all times, and 3) use a face wash with Vitamin C in it. I have a situation similar to yours and these three measures have helped me tremendously.
Reply:It would be best to get an astringent such as "Clean and Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent" to use on your face. It contains salisylic acid which is an ingredient in most acne medicine. But the very best way to clear up your skin is from the inside.....go to the Dr. and get a prescription. Also, drink lots of water and avoid lots of junk food.

Good luck!
Reply:Listerine is an antiseptic, so it would be of some help. It may sting a bit, since it's about 21% alcohol (not even CLOSE to being "complete alcohol.") I suppose your face might smell like Listerine, though!

One thing I do use Listerine for is for minor cuts and scrapes if I happen to be out of hydrogen peroxide.
Reply:I dont know but let me know if it does! lol
Reply:Oh my! The alcohol content is probably why listerine was suggusted as it has a drying effect. I don't know if listerine is the best for your face though. It has flavoring and sugars most likely that would clog your pores. If you would try rubbing alcohol that would have the same drying effect without all the other clogging uneccessary ingredients. Hope this helps.

Which is better?a face-to-face conversation or a phone call??

How do you think ? a face-to-face conversation or a phone call ,which is better??

Which is better?a face-to-face conversation or a phone call??
Depends on the issue being discussed.

If it's really serious, I like to talk face to face. Little nuances can be mistaken and eye contact is key.

For lighter subjects I prefer the phone..no need to see the person face to face to talk about the weather or who's getting the kids after school.
Reply:Phone to phone coversation is better before doing face to face conversation. The biggest advantage of phone talking is that you dont feel any hesitation what you feel lively while seeing a person's face.

First start talking with phone, you can come to know likes and dislikes of the person you are talking with, then you will easily carry on face to face talk.
Reply:Well it all depends on the person who you are speaking with and also the topic of conversation if you are gonna **** something up than do it face to face!
Reply:face2face is awesome
Reply:Hi

I work in business. For business transactions such as activations and billing disputes and anything requiring legal lodging of information or an attachment email is great. People also like written communication as it shows you have taken time to order your thinking and not to disturb them. However email is limited and sometimes phone calls are a better way to reach agreement, it is always good to ask the person you are calling whether they can chat at the moment. Face to face communication is the most interruptive and demands intimacty you are best to have an invitation or a very good short presentation. For the personal relationships telephone is the best, then face to face and writing is last.
Reply:It depends on the topic of discussion. If you are going to break up with someone, then be respectful and do it in person. If you are just wanting to say hello or talk about nothing in particular, the phone is fine.
Reply:Poppy,

We can debate this question many times over. So lets divide the question and then make decisions.

For business: a telephone conversation is appropriate unless you need to negotiate a contract. The face to face does give you the advantage of "reading" the other party's facial expressions. Similar to playing poker.

For casual aquaintances or friends. A phone call will do but it is alot more fun in person. It is alot easier to flirt in person than over the phone, not impossible but easier.

For a very personal relationship; skip the phone, it is all in the eyes and the lips and the bod..... unless you are long distances apart, then use the phone as much as financially possible.

If you are going "green" environmentally, then use the phone. It does save fossil fuel and pollution. But you could practice walking, biking or skating to your social group hangout.

If you are in love....well there is nothing like being there in person. But there is also the element of sexy flirtatous dating on the phone too.

Can you have it all? Yep, That is why they made camera phones!

Pardon me.... I have to take this call. tctrout55
Reply:depends on all the circumstances in volved. if its a friend and you feel comfortable with them, then face to face. if its an enemy and you fear them, phone call.
Reply:a phone call... less chance of getting smacked lol
Reply:Might as well be a phone call because young people today are to busy looking at their text screen to look you in the face and have a conversation that lasts more than two minutes.

Just watch, if someone that texts a lot and they can't look down at their phone when it vibrates or beeps (which on average is every two minutes) or doesn't beep they get real itchy.
Reply:a face to face conversation is better
Reply:I think it depends on the situation. If you know the person might snap phone call. If you are breaking some ones heart (breaking up, a death) then in person. They will need you to be there for them. I guess if you are breaking up with a person and it gets loud you still need to do it in person. You cared enough to want to be with them and they deserve that much respect from you.
Reply:face to face. You get to see their facial expressions and the eyes never lie!!
Reply:ALWAYS! face - to- Face!!!!

Over a phone line or over the computer, words can be mis-interputed.

Good Luck

Reply:sometimes, it is difficult to say things face to face, then we talk over phone and say it convincingly or truthfully.
Reply:It depends on the subject matter of the conversation. A face-to-face is preferable because you can see the person's body language; otherwise, the phone works well if you've to say NO! Face-to-face works well if you know the person and both you live within the vicinity. If you do not know the person, it's advisable to take steps to protect yourself by selecting a convenient place where you feel comfortable about your safety. If you're concerned about your safety, and would like to have evidence of the conversation, I suggest that you arm yourself with an audio recorder which can be used to record a telephone or room conversation without the other person knowing. I came across very interesting audio recorders at http://www.uniquehiddencameras.com/audio...

Please visit the website and see if this would be helpful in your situation.
Reply:Face to face communication is much more honest, so to speak. A large portion of communication is non-verbal, which is unavailable by phone.
Reply:If I was the President of the USA and I had already launched an Atomic Bomb on Japan, I think a phone call would be enough, don't you?

Really red face problems?

Like it's not jsut when I get embarassed or something, sometimes my face just gets really red and really hot. It looks really weird and everyone asks me why my face is so red. Is it rosacea? What is it? And how can I get rid of the redness or hide it?

Really red face problems?
It very well could be rosacea. Rosacea has triggers for me: Alcohol, Heat, Spicy Foods, Sour Foods, etc.

See what makes your face really read.

You will definitely want to go to a dermatologist to find out for sure because acne treatments will really hurt your face.

For makeup: Keep moisturized with a sensitive skin treatment, and use a green based powder, it will hide the red. For moisturizers, I recommend Aveeno. It's very easy on the skin.
Reply:It could very well be rosacea but you need to see the doc for a definate diagnosis. Once you see the doc and if he does diagnose you with rosacea he will prescribe a treatment routine for you. There is no real good way to hide it but you can try a product called Sheer Cover to help minimize it. See the doc first though before you use any products on your face so that you have a correct diagnosis of what is causing your redness.
Reply:It could be rosacea but you should ask your doctor about it. In the mean time eat lots of popcicles and eat cold things or pack on the make-up
Reply:a combo of soap and self confidence
Reply:It could be rosacea, but, see a doc. A common rx treatment is a 0.75% topical cream applied twice daily called, Metronidazole. You can also find more informed data from the National Rosacea Society at : roseacea.org. Good Luck.
